When many people think of Cambodia, often the horrific images of the Khmer Rouge and its brutal past enter into people’s mind. However, this dark period of Cambodian history was largely confined to the 1970s and 1980s with a continuous period of peace since.

Unlike neighboring Thailand or even Vietnam to an extent, Cambodia has been largely forgotten up until only recent years, presenting an incredible opportunity for investors to get exposure to one of Asia’s few untapped frontier markets.

Cambodia has one of Asia’s youngest populations in South East Asia, with one third of the population under 15 years of age.  Age demographics have been a large determinant of property market value appreciation throughout the world and Cambodia is expected to be no different.
